YOUR C.O.C

Your British Merchant Navy Certificate of Competency.

A Professional Certificate of Competency (CoC) is issued by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) in the UK. This provides you with the international recognition that you require in order to work at sea as a Ship’s Deck, Engineer or Electro-Technical officer. It defines the role that you are qualified to undertake and the types of vessels you will be able to work on. All the SSTG sponsorship opportunities lead to the award of an Unlimited CoC allowing you to work on any size vessel trading anywhere in the world.
