Validity of NOE and Time Required Between Re-Sits of Oral Exams
The MCA has published MIN 451 (M+F), which replaces MIN 250 (M) and repeats the information contained therein.
It confirms that Notices of Eligibility to sit a Maritime and Coastguard Agency Oral Exam (NOE) issued on or after 1 June 2003 are valid for 5 years from the date of issue. If the candidate has not sat the oral exam during this time, a new application must be made.
It also restates the minimum time periods that apply between re-sits of oral exams, which are two weeks before taking a second or third re-sit and three months between all subsequent re-sits.
